When You Can Get a 'Do Over?'

Yesterday there was an earthquake from Virginia to New York.  Everyone has a story, but somehow I missed it. No story, no shaking desk, rumbling ground, swinging lamp or leaving work early.  In fact I heard it first from a patient who told me she was about to go to the bathroom before she left her house and her toilet was shaking! TMI, don't you think?
I turned the TV on at work and the news was on every channel, sure enough there was an earthquake.  So I posted on FB that I wanted a Do Over so that I could have a story, too.
Yes, a very silly idea, the premise of the movie 'Ground Hog Day.'  Oh, but life is not a movie and we will never have a DO OVER DAY, or will we?
Did you know that it is never to late to make slow and subtle changes in your life to turn around your ship of health and wellness.  No matter how old you are you can bring vitality and a higher quality of wellness into your reality.  Dr. Dean  Ornish has proven that you can reverse heart disease with a vegan diet and without surgery and I think that is even better than a Do Over Day.  Reversing heart disease is like 'Doing Over' the last ten or twenty years of your life.
So what would you prefer surgeries, scalpels and hospitals followed by medications and side effects, or prevention through positive action and making good lifestyle choices?
Take if from someone with a strong history of heart disease in her family, prevention is the way to go.
