Harmony, Harmony, Harmony................

Harmony, what does that mean to you? This past Labor day weekend we were in Nashville, at the National Folk Festival and the experience has caused me to think about the many meanings of harmony.
Music comes to mind first, after all it was a music festival.   Harmony of the musical kind included bands, dancing, singing and instrumental harmonies but truly it was so much more than that.  What does harmony mean to you?
The National Folk Festival is a prime example of human harmony.  The main producing partner is The National Council for the Traditional Arts and supporting  them there are many groups, private donors and hundreds of volunteers working to create an amazing experience of sight, sound and community.  The musicians are the best from all over the world and they may perform as a group or in workshops where they teach the audience and learn from other musicians in the workshop. Usually it lifts my spirits just to hear music, but taking a step back to watch how everyone worked together lifted my spirits even more.  Music turns out to be a great equalizer and so musicians from all over the world can meet in the morning and jam together in the evening, in spite of language barriers. It was an amazing experience,
fantastic music and wonderful peaceful people all around.
I posted the link to the next festival in Richmond. Va which is in October.  If you live in or around the area, come see
what HARMONY is all about.

A music festival can be healing.  Loose yourself in the experience and let the music resonate throughout your mind, body and soul. Tap your feet or get up and dance, there is no question in my mind that music is good for you.  Of course you don't have to come to Richmond to find good music, I am quite sure there is good music in your community, too. Tap into an amazing source of joy and healing,
listen and dance to music that moves you today.

"You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
                              Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth."
